Rene is a proven ace when it comes to driving off-road or building vehicles ready to race or adventure in the dirt. A 7-time off-road racing class champion and a 3-time Baja 1000 class winner, Rene hails from Valle Guadalupe in Baja and now lives in the US.

Rene knows what works and how to make a project the best it can be from a tech and function side. His work on the championship trucks he and Heidi drive and the consistency of the Desert Assassins #16 Trophy Truck are both calling cards to his expertise. In 2017 his truck won the Mexican 1000,  was runner up at the 50^th Baja 1000 and was on the overall Trophy Truck podium for year end points with not one DNF.

Humble and quiet, he is a silent master of both smashing some berms in TT’s and 7 trucks and maybe even more talented when spinning the wrenches.
